Below are a variety of ways our customers have asked for the MD Coder™ to be integrated into their system. No one way is right; some choose to implement a basic MD Coder™ system today and add full integration down the road. Some of the ways you can use MD Coder™ with your current HIS, EMR or PMS are:

• Fully Integrated - Have your HIS, EMR, or PMS populate MD Coder™'s database with patient demographics to avoid data entry. Similarly, synchronized charges can be sent back to your billing system in either a batch or real time mode to facilitate faster payments and accurate billing statements.
• Demographic and Scheduling Integration - Pull patient demographics from an HIS, EMR, or PMS in a real time basis to keep MD Coder™ up-to-date with the latest information. Have your scheduling system notify MD Coder™ of patient admissions and automatically open visits for the patient within MD Coder™. The next time a physician synchronizes, he or she will receive all of the necessary information to begin capturing charges for that patient.
• Demographic Information Only - Get a head start on giving physicians accurate demographic information for use on the handheld. MDTech can set up a real time feed of patient demographics to MD Coder™ to provide physicians with the latest information on their patients.
